 Gall Bladder Qi Stagnation


Pin Yin: dan qi zhi
Symptoms:
suddenly aggravated.
Pain: distension; discomfort; of ribside; frequent changes of severity and location; referred pains of ribside, chest, or shoulders; aggravated after eating.
Affect: irritable; easily angered, violent.
Signs:
Tongue Body: normal, or dusky, especially of lateral edges.
Tongue Coat: normal to thick.
Pulse: bowstring.
Complexion, other: lumps palpable, temporary, may change location frequently.
Pattern derived from: Qi Stagnation.

  
Herbs:

--Regulate Qi

-- Quicken Blood, Transform Stasis
-Supplement Blood; especially herbs like Rx Angelicae Sinensis or Rx Paeoniae Lactiflorae, if used as buffers to moderate the harsh effects of other herbs.

-- Harmonize ShaoYang
-- Regulate and harmonize Liver and Spleen
-- Harmonize Stomach and Intestines
-Promote movement of Qi
