 Lung Yin Vacuity


Pin Yin: fei yin xu
Symptoms:
aftermath of high heat effusion (fever); fatigue; aversion to heat; heat effusion, especially in afternoon; hot palms, soles and head; nightsweats.
shallow respiration; dyspnea.
thirsty; dry mouth and throat; prefers cold drinks.
dark urine ; clears throat often; cough dry, irritating; [or] cough, generally unproductive, occasionally of sticky sputum, possibly with bloody streaks.
Signs:
Tongue Body: red; fissures.
Tongue Coat: absent, or very thin; white, perhaps yellow.
Pulse: weak-thready; rapid.
Complexion, other: face and cheeks reddish, especially in afternoon.
Pattern derived from: Interior-Heat-Vacuity (Vacuity of Yin).
