Pin Yin: xue yu
Symptoms:
Onset due to traumatic injury. General stasis in the network vessels may present without pain and is associated with many chronic illnesses as a result of long term Qi Stagnation; symptoms and signs may include fixed lumps in the breast that are painful to pressure
fixed, sharp, and/or severe lower abdominal pain, a possible sooty facial complexion, worsening of symptoms at night, visible engorged varicosities including small hemangiomas, spider nevi, and hemorrhoids
Dark, purplish lips, Dry, scaly skin, A history of recalcitrant, enduring disease
scanty menses; hemorrhages, recurring due to ecchymosis, with a dark or purplish color, ovulatory pain, a dark-colored menstruate, blood clots in the menstruate,
Pain: fixed stabbing pains.
Signs:
Tongue Body: dusky, purplish, dark, or black. Distended purple sublingual veins; stasis macules or spots
Pulse: choppy.
Complexion, other: tumors, growths, masses, hard and immobile on palpation; complexion unnaturally dark; numerous spider veins on face or torso; purple lips, nailbeds.
