Pin Yin: li re xu; yin xu
Symptoms:
aftermath of high heat effusion (fever); fatigue; aversion to heat; heat effusion, especially in afternoon; hot palms, soles and head; nightsweats.
shallow respiration; dyspnea.
thirsty; prefers cold drinks.
dark urine ; constipation.
Pain: pain; discomfort; of torso; relieved by cold; relieved by pressure or touch.
Activity and movement: rapid; weak.
speech: rapid; quiet voice; talkative.
Affect: outgoing; passive; excitable but lacks persistence.
Signs:
Tongue Body: red; fissures.
Tongue Coat: absent, or very thin; white, perhaps yellow.
Pulse: weak-thready; rapid.
