Actions:
   Calms the Spirit; used for agitation, insomnia, and palpitations with anxiety.
   Benefits Yin and restrains Rising of Liver Yang.
   Astringes Fluids and prevents leakage of Essence; used for spontaneous sweating or night sweats (especially in the aftermath of Warm Disease), nocturnal seminal emission, leukorrhea, and uterine bleeding associated with Vacuity disharmonies.
   Softens and resolves nodules, especially in the neck; used for goiters and scrofula.
   Counteracts stomach acidity and relieves epigastric pain; used for symptoms of acid regurgitation and belching.
