Actions:
   Sedates the Liver and strongly subdues rising Liver Yang associated with Yin Vacuity; used for vexation, dizziness, vertigo, and tinnitus and blurred vision.
   Strongly descends Counterflow Qi; used to control vomiting, nausea, acute asthma, and hiccough.
   Stops bleeding; especially useful for nosebleeds, coughing up of blood, uterine bleeding and other types of bleeding associated with Blood Heat patterns.
