Actions:
   Promotes flow of Yang and transforms Cold Phlegm; used for painful Cold Obstruction of the chest induced by Turbid Phlegm with symptoms of chest, flank, or upper back pain, painful breathing, coughing, and wheezing.
   Moves Qi and Blood and relieves pain; used for Stagnant Qi associated with Cold epigastric and abdominal pain and distension; also chest pain associated with Stagnant Blood of Heart.
   Guides the Qi downward and reduces Stagnation; used for Dampness Stagnation disharmonies of the Large Intestine, including dysentery-like disorders.

Dosage: 1.5-3 qian; 10-20 qian if used fresh.
