Botanical name: Aconitum carmichaeli Debx.

Actions:
   Restores Collapsed Yang.
Warms Kidney Fire; used in seminal emission or impotence due to Kidney Yang Vacuity, edema with either excessive or insufficient but clear urine.
Warms Kidney and Spleen; used in Vacuity of Kidney and Spleen Yang.
Expels Cold, warms Channels and relieves pain.

Toxicity: Contains a toxic alkaloid, aconitine, which is converted to aconine after prolonged cooking; aconine is only slightly toxic. Many varieties of Rx Aconiti sold commercially are already pre-cooked and then dried. However, to be absolutely safe, I recommend that one assume that commercially obtained Rx Aconiti always needs to be pre-cooked at least 1hours.
