Pin Yin: Wu Ling San

Category:   Drain Dampness, Promote Urination

Actions:
   Promotes urination, drains Dampness, Fortifies Spleen, warms the Yang, and promotes the transforming functions of Qi;
  ---used for: (1) TaiYang-stage with disruption of the Qi functions of the Bladder, with headache, heat effusion (fever), vexation, strong thirst with vomiting after drinking, urinary difficulty, and floating pulse; (2) Spleen Vacuity and Dampness (Spleen failing to transform and transport Fluids), with edema, vomiting, diarrhea, urinary difficulty; (3) Congested Fluids in Lower Burner with urinary difficulty and throbbing pulsations below umbilicus, leading to overflow of Fluids at level of Middle and possibly Upper Burner with vomiting of frothy saliva, vertigo, shortness of breath, and coughing; (4) failure of the Small Intestine to separate the Pure from the Turbid (Vacuity Small Intestine Repletion Heat), with borborygmus and watery stools.
